Fringecup is in the same family as Heuchera and is similar in appearance. It can establish well in disturbed and shady areas to create a thick ground cover, which may even outcompete invasive weeds. Evergreen during mild winters, it thrives in cool, moist, and shady areas can also tolerate some seasonal flooding and a bit of direct sun as long as it isn't too hot. Once established, they are slug resistant. Use it to create nice patchy areas of deer-resistant ground cover, in rain gardens, or as a bedding plant on the shady-side of buildings.
